An
allergy is an abnormal reaction to substances ordinarily
harmless. These may be taken into the body by being
inhaled, by being swallowed, or by contact with the
skin. When this happens, the substance we are reacting
to is called an allergen.
Allergic problems are responsible for over eleven million
visits to a physician's office per year and affect approximately
20% of the population of the United States. They cause
significant "quality of life" impairment and
contribute to at least one-third of all cases of chronic
sinusitis, otitis media, and nasal polyps as well as
approximately 60% of all asthma cases.
Allergy Clinic of Garland has over many years developed
treatment protocols that have been successful in returning
"Quality of Life" to patients with chronic
allergic problems. Definitive plans have been developed
that are highly effective for the following conditions:
• Allergic Rhinitis • Asthma
• Chronic Sinusitis • Nasal & Sinus
Polyps • Chronic Cough • Atopic
Dermatitis & Chronic Urticaria (Hives) •
Gastrointestinal Allergies • Migraine
• Stinging Insect Allergy • Anaphylactic
